Prima dell’Autunno: concerto gratuito della Scarlatti Junior al Conservatorio di Napoli

 Giovedì 18 ottobre 2018, alle ore 18.30, una folta rappresentanza – oltre 70 – dei giovanissimi strumentisti dell’Orchestra Scarlatti Junior, che complessivamente  ammontano a più di 100 tra ragazze e ragazzi di età compresa tra gli 11 e i 20 anni, terrà un concerto a ingresso gratuito presso la Sala Scarlatti del Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella di Napoli, con un ricco programma sinfonico spaziante da una nobile Aria di Alessandro Scarlatti al travolgente Boléro di Ravel, passando per brani di Sibelius, Shostakovich, Bach, Kreisler, Verdi, Weber, Bizet. Protagonisti nel ruolo di solisti alcuni giovani musicisti dell’Orchestra. Dirigono Marco Attura e Gaetano Russo, che del progetto Scarlatti Junior è anche coordinatore artistico.

“I nostri giovanissimi strumentisti suoneranno all’interno di quel Conservatorio in cui molti di loro avranno eventualmente modo di continuare e perfezionare la propria formazione musicale. Ci sembra il modo migliore per inaugurare il piano di collaborazione appena stipulato tra la Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti e la Direzione del San Pietro a Majella, nel segno di un legame virtuoso tra attività concertistica e formazione artistica”, dichiara Russo.

Il concerto gratuito della Scarlatti Junior, anticipa il Concerto inaugurale dell’Autunno musicale 2018 della Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti, giovedì 25 ottobre sempre presso la Sala Scarlatti del Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella (ore 20.30) con un ricco programma di musiche di Schubert (Terza Sinfonia), Šostakovič, Piazzolla, Hindemith e la presenza di due giovani eccellenze italiane di rilievo internazionale: Beatrice Venezi sul podio, e il violino solista di Daniela Cammarano.

Cuore pulsante della nuova Comunità delle Orchestre Scarlatti, l’Orchestra Scarlatti Junior è giunta al suo quarto anno di vita, registrando una crescita continua di partecipazione diretta e di interesse e arricchendo progressivamente il suo curriculum di concerti spesso inseriti in una cornice di forte richiamo culturale o sociale.  Solo per citare alcuni  degli eventi più rilevanti degli ultimi anni, ricordiamo: la presenza al San Carlo nel maggio 2016, a chiusura della rassegna di Orchestre Giovanili per la giornata della legalità Capaci di ricordare, in memoria della strage di Capaci; il Concerto dell’1 luglio 2016 presso il Cortile dei Priori della Certosa di San Martino di Napoli nell’ambito della rassegna ConCertosa organizzata dal Polo Museale della Campania; il Concerto di Natale dell’Università Federico II, tenutosi nel dicembre 2016 presso la Basilica di San Giovanni Maggiore; le due edizioni di Orto Sonoro (giugno 2017 e giugno 2018), originale iniziativa realizzata presso l’Orto Botanico di Napoli (sempre nel quadro della partnership con l’Università ‘Federico II’ di Napoli) che ha trasformato per due sere il Real Orto Botanico in una grande e animata ‘foresta sonora’. Il 17 giugno scorso poi la Scarlatti Junior è stata protagonista dell’inaugurazione della Festa Europea della Musica sotto l’egida del Comune di Napoli, con un doppio concerto per il grande concorso di pubblico, e un brillante programma sinfonico spaziante da Beethoven a Gershwin e Ravel, diretto da  Francesco Aliberti.
