Terremoto a Montecilfone, trema ancora il Molise

20:19 del 16 agosto: il Molise trema ancora. Una forte scossa di magnitudo 5.2 con epicentro a Montecilfone (Campobasso) si è avvertita fino in Lazio e in Campania (ed è stata registrata anche dall’Osservatorio Vesuviano).

Molta paura, ma per fortuna non si registrano gravi danni a cose o persone. La Protezione Civile molisana e le istituzioni invitano a non andare nel panico, sottolineando che al momento non esistono pericoli concreti.

Ferragosto di paura

I molisani sono reduci da una scossa leggermente più lieve il 14 agosto, sempre con epicentro a Montecilfone. Anche in quel caso i danni sono stati contenutissimi, praticamente vicini allo zero. C’è preoccupazione nei paesi in provincia di Campobasso, dove scosse e assestamenti hanno spaventato la popolazione in maniera praticamente costante. Ventisette le scosse registrate dai sismografi nella sera di giovedì 16 agosto, otto di queste hanno superato magnitudo 2.5.

La situazione a Palata (CB) e negli altri comuni

Qualche danno agli edifici, anche se di lieve entità, si è registrato a Palata (Campobasso). Si parla perlopiù di crepe nei muri e danni interni alle abitazioni. Lo riferisce l’ANSA. Piccoli crolli anche ad Acquaviva Collecroce e nella località Coppera. La scossa è stata avvertita molto fortemente anche a Montecilfone e Campomarino, dove la gente si è riversata in strada.

Le rassicurazioni dei Vigili del Fuoco

Interpellati dalla stampa, i Vigili del Fuoco delle stazioni locali fanno sapere che non ci sono state chiamate di particolare entità e che nei primi momenti seguenti al terremoto le ronde hanno registrato solo alcune cadute di cornicioni.

Il sisma avvertito a Napoli

Particolarmente intenso, il terremoto si è avvertito fino alle pendici del Vesuvio. In particolare ai piani alti i lampadari hanno oscillato e i mobili si sono mossi.
