Seconda parte del Festival del Cinema dei Diritti Umani di Napoli con il Concorso

Riparte il 27 novembre nella monumentale cornice del Maschio Angioino (Antisala dei Baroni) il Festival del Cinema dei Diritti Umani di Napoli. Dopo gli eventi di carattere internazionale che hanno segnato la scorsa settimana, si entra finalmente nel vivo con il Concorso Cinematografico. Saranno proiettati i 31 film che hanno superato la prima fase di selezione: 7 lungometraggi e 24 corti, provenienti da Italia, Cile, Stati Uniti, Regno Unito, Siria, Spagna, Iran, Georgia, Olanda e Palestina. 

Tra questi saranno scelti i due film vincitori (miglior cortometraggio e miglior lungometraggio) dalla Giuria Esperti (composta da Elisabetta Pandimiglio, documentarista romana; Antonio Prata, direttore del Festival dei Diritti Umani di Lugano; Sandra Lorenzano, docente della Universidad Autónoma de México ed esperta di migrazioni).

Saranno anche assegnate le menzioni YOUTH (per i film destinati ai giovani) a cura di una Giuria Giovani composta da ragazzi tra i 13 e i 20 anni, la Menzione ARRIGONI/MER KHAMIS (per il film più coraggioso e innovatore) assegnata dalla Giuria dei selezionatori interni e la Menzione CLIMA a cura della Giuria Esperti.

La Giuria Popolare, costituita su base volontaria su invito pubblico formulato dal Festival, sarà chiamata ad assegnare la Menzione PLATEA DIFFUSA.

La serata finale, prevista per il 30 novembre, sarà ospitata nella Biblioteca di Storia Patria del Maschio Angioino. L’evento si chiuderà su alcune colonne sonore di Nino Rota, Ennio Morricone e Nicola Piovani interpretate dal maestro Sandro Deidda, sassofonista e protagonista di primo piano della scena jazz italiana.

L’ingresso a tutti gli eventi è gratuito.

INFORMAZIONI SUL FESTIVAL

Il Festival, patrocinato da Amnesty International Italia, appartiene alla sua rete Human Rights Film Network e avrà come partner principali: Comune di Napoli – Assessorato al Turismo e Cultura, Regione Campania, Banca Popolare Etica, l’Ambasciata Svizzera in Italia e l’Associazione 46simo Parallelo di Trento. Media partner saranno il quotidiano “Il Manifesto” (con la sua rivista “Extraterrestre”) e il mensile di cinema “Diari di Cineclub”.

L’XI Festival è anche accompagnato dalla mostra W.A.R.S. (Wars And Revolutionary Stories) organizzata dall’Atlante dei conflitti e delle guerre di Trento che sarà ospitata dall’8 novembre al 1 dicembre nella Sala delle Armerie del Maschio Angioino.
