Desjardins, Cresta, Goldstein: trio d’assi per il quarto concerto dell’Autunno Musicale NOS

Christophe Desjardins, francese, classe ’62, è tra i violisti più famosi e apprezzati d’Europa. Uno dei più accreditati interpreti di musica contemporanea a livello internazionale (protagonista di prime esecuzioni di brani di autori del calibro di Luciano Berio e Pierre Boulez), sarà viola solista nell’Elogio della Lentezza, brano del compositore irpino Gianvincenzo Cresta, classe ’68, una delle figure più originali della nuova musica classica. E sarà anche la prima esecuzione assoluta dell’Elogio da lui scritto: un brano per viola, orchestra d’archi, flauto, clarinetto e percussioni e che – a dispetto del suo titolo – è pieno di movimento e suggestioni sonore.

È solo il climax di un appuntamento che si propone di grande interesse per musicofili e semplici appassionati: il quarto concerto dell’Autunno Musicale 2018 della Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti.

Venerdì 23 novembre alle ore 20.30, nella Sala Scarlatti del Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella, la Nuova Scarlatti mette insieme qualità e piacere dell’ascolto: in programma pagine tra le più godibili e amate del ‘900 musicale, come la fascinosa III Suite di Antiche danze e arie di Ottorino Respighi e la vivace Simple Symphony di Benjamin Britten.

Sul podio dell’Orchestra. un talento emergente, il triestino Carlo Goldstein, che dopo la vittoria del primo premio all’International Conducting Competition di Graz nel 2009 ha intrapreso un’intensa attività direttoriale in Italia e all’estero.

Musicista estremamente colto, l’avellinese Gianvincenzo Cresta (1968) in gioventù si è confrontato con i dettami della post-avanguardia con grande coerenza e rigore, per poi maturare negli anni (a partire dalle complessità di quella prima fase) una nuova volontà di canto, colore, espressione. Le musiche di Gianvincenzo Cresta vengono eseguite e commissionate da istituzioni italiane e internazionali fra le più prestigiose, dal Parco della Musica di Roma all’Opéra Bastille di Parigi, dal Mozarteum di Salisburgo a Radio France (solo per citare un paio dei suoi prossimi impegni del 2019, in marzo sarà alla Hocschule für Musik di Hannover e a ottobre in tournée tra Italia e Francia con il brano De l’Infinito su testo di Giordano Bruno per sei voci ed elettronica, commissionato dal Ministero della Cultura francese).

Ne ritroveremo il fascino, tra avvolgenti onde sonore e improvvise rarefazioni, nel suo Elogio della lentezza, una pagina che prende l’ascolto fin dall’entrata solistica della viola, dall’ampio respiro ‘bachiano’ e poi dalle figurazioni degli archi divisi in ondulate linee strettamente sovrapposte, oscillanti ‘cluster’ timbrici.

Così ne parla lo stesso Cresta: «l’Elogio della lentezza è il primo di un ciclo di elogi a cui sto lavorando – c’è già anche un Elogio dell’incertezza. L’idea è, appunto, ‘elogiare’ ciò che comunemente è considerato un disvalore. I tempi odierni sono tempi di voracità e bulimia, l’orizzonte non è misura dell’infinito, ma spazio d’immediatezza. E allora ho voluto riflettere sull’esperienza della lentezza intesa come opportunità di comprendere il mondo fuori e dentro del sé, attraverso uno sguardo in senso orizzontale e in senso verticale». Sempre Cresta ci spiega come il nostro ascolto sarà catturato «da figure circolari, che nel loro vorticoso girare, esprimono fissità anziché divenire. Non sempre ciò che si mostra veloce è davvero tale: in realtà vi è una lentezza nella velocità e una velocità nella lentezza»
