Corsi di inglese utili per prepararsi al mondo del lavoro, con tanto di certificazione Cambridge universalmente riconosciuta, destinati ai ragazzi a rischio esclusione sociale, provenienti da situazioni complesse, per dar loro un’opportunità diversa per il futuro. È questa la scelta che Objective English ha fatto per dare una risposta concreta a quella spinta all’azione che la città di Napoli ha dimostrato di volere con passione, non ultimo invadendo Piazza del Gesù per i funerali del giovane musicista Giogiò Cutolo.

Ad annunciarlo è Georgia Forte, a capo del Centro Esami Cambridge vomerese e leader di Confcommercio Vomero – Arenella ‘Imprese Collinari’. “Napoli sta urlando, vuole una svolta palese, si è stancata di violenza e di seguenti parole a vuoto“, spiega l’imprenditrice. Che aggiunge: “I fatti di cronaca degli ultimi giorni non possono lasciare indifferente chi vive questa città. Allora con il mio gruppo di lavoro ci siamo detti che sì, vogliamo una Napoli diversa, che bisogna fare qualcosa. Ma noi, in concreto, cosa possiamo fare? Quello che sappiamo fare è preparare le persone in lingua inglese. Ed è da lì che siamo partiti“.

In occasione dell’apertura della seconda sede della scuola in V municipalità (dopo via Merliani via Raffaele Tarantino) Objective English si impegnerà a offrire gratuitamente dei percorsi di apprendimento personalizzati in lingua inglese ai giovani inseriti nei programmi di recupero delle realtà che vorranno aderire a tale iniziativa. Al momento sono in corso le interlocuzioni con alcune associazioni che si occupano di recupero di minori a rischio sul territorio di Napoli, ma la call è aperta a chiunque voglia candidarsi. “Si tratta di ragazzi – spiega Forte – che hanno fatto un primo passo verso la legalità, che vogliono un futuro diverso e lo lasciano intendere nonostante tutte le difficoltà del caso. Verso molti di questi giovani noi siamo in difetto: rappresentiamo il fallimento del futuro che dovevamo costruire per loro. Per offrire loro un destino diverso siamo convinti nel potere dell’istruzione, certo, ma crediamo vadano forniti strumenti e soft skill per permettere a questi giovani di allargare il campo di visione e ricostruirsi come adulti, lavoratori e professionisti. Questa visione non può prescindere l’apprendere competenze chiave, come quella di lingua“.

L’iniziativa verrà presentata nel corso di una “festa d’inaugurazione” aperta al quartiere e alle scuole partner dell’azienda che da oltre un lustro è Centro Esami Autorizzato Cambridge per il rilascio delle autorevoli certificazioni di lingua inglese rilasciate dall’università britannica. Si terrà nella neonata sede di via Tarantino 12 il prossimo mercoledì 13 settembre a partire dalle 18.30.
