Un viaggio in giro per il mondo, alla scoperta delle tante Napoli, cugine della bella Partenope. Sono 40 e popolano i continenti, dalle Americhe (dove ce ne sono 14) alla Grecia (che ne conta 13). E, ancora, le 5 Napoli in Eurasia e le 4 in Africa e Medio Oriente. Persino in Italia ce ne sono 3, oltre il capoluogo campano. Lo scrittore e storyteller Michelangelo Iossa, per l’occasione, accompagnerà gli spettatori in un viaggio tra le pagine del libro con un live-act immersivo: un percorso virtuale in alcune delle Napoli-simbolo del mondo, con la colonna sonora del dj Giorgio Alessio Polverino. Il libro accompagna il lettore in un lungo viaggio attraverso i continenti, che si apre con la Napoli dello Stato di New York e che si conclude, inevitabilmente, con la più celebre delle Napoli del mondo. Unità di misura dell’intero percorso, il capoluogo partenopeo è, per notorietà, estensione, popolazione ed esposizione mediatica, la più vistosa delle sue trentanove cugine, attraversate nelle pagine di questo libro- viaggio.
Naples, Neapolis, Nabeul, Napoli, Nauplia, Neopolis o Neapoli sono i nomi delle quaranta Napoli scelte per questo itinerario, e certamente nel mondo si nasconderanno altri luoghi con lo stesso nome: gli USA e la Grecia, con le loro Naples e Neapolis, fanno la parte del leone mettendo in campo oltre venti luoghi differenti. Michelangelo Iossa, classe 1974, è giornalista, scrittore e ricercatore universitario.
Docente del Laboratorio di Musicologia presso l’Università degli Studi Suor Orsola Benincasa di Napoli, a partire dal 2003 ha firmato alcuni fortunati libri, soprattutto nell’ambito della divulgazione musicale: “The Beatles”, “Le Canzoni dei Beatles”, “Gli Ultimi Giorni di Lennon”, “Le Canzoni di George Harrison e Paul McCartney a Napoli” (con Carmine Aymone), “Cameriere, Champagne!…” (con il Maestro Mimmo di Francia), “Napul’è… i luoghi di Pino Daniele” (con Carmine Aymone) e “LOVE – Le canzoni d’Amore” dei Beatles.
