Esplosione tir sull’A14, l’ipotesi smartphone. Confarca: “Intensificare controlli sulle strade”

Sulle strade italiane torna prepotentemente alla ribalta il problema dell’emergenza sicurezza. L’incidente con l’esplosione del Tir sull’A14, all’altezza di Borgo Panigale (Bologna) ha di nuovo portato sotto i riflettori la necessità di una stretta “per evitare che automobilisti e conducenti di camion possano finire per distrarsi con dispositivi come i telefoni cellulari oppure per mettersi alla guida stanchi”.

A chiederla, attraverso una nota, è Paolo Colangelo, presidente nazionale della Confarca (la confederazione che rappresenta le autoscuole italiane): un commento che arriva poche ore dopo le notizie diffuse dagli organi di stampa sullo sviluppo delle indagini della Procura di Bologna per far luce sull’esplosione verificatasi lunedì e che ha arrecato notevoli danni.

Gli inquirenti stanno indagando sulle cause che hanno portato all’incidente: secondo le prime ipotesi, l’autista del tir potrebbe essersi distratto – verosimilmente con un telefono cellulare – oppure sarebbe finito preda di un colpo di sonno.

“In entrambe le ipotesi ci troviamo di fronte ad un malcostume, quello di maneggiare lo smartphone mentre si è alla guida, oppure di mettersi al volante nonostante la stanchezza – afferma Colangelo – La nostra confederazione si batte da anni per la guida sicura, durante le lezioni di guida ribadiamo ai più giovani di non utilizzare dispositivi quali smartphone o tablet quando si è al volante. La stanchezza è un altro fattore di rischio che spesso condiziona i conducenti dei camion, spesso alle prese con tempi strettissimi di consegna”.

“Purtroppo, se non si può più intervenire sul cambiamento culturale, è necessario un rafforzamento dei controlli sulle strade, soprattutto in questi giorni di esodo – conclude Colangelo – Probabilmente i maggiori controlli avrebbero potuto scongiurare anche l’incidente sull’A14, ben venga quindi la proposta del ministro Salvini di intensificare le attività di pattugliamento sulle autostrade italiane”.
